Walker McDonald provides assistance to both individuals and companies with employment law problems. Joseph McDonald, is an expert in the field and has a wealth of experience in dealing with Employment and Industrial Law cases.
Our services to employees include handling unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims (age, sex, religious, race and disability) and constructive dismissal claims (being forced to resign due to the unlawful behaviour of your boss.) We also advise on compromise agreements and contracts of employment.
We work on behalf of employers in both the public and private sectors advising on contentious and non-contentious issues, pensions and providing mediation services when required.
Joseph has advised Craigavon Borough Council on employment and equality issues for the last 20 years. He also advises a number of major and small employers in the area including firms who each employ more than 200 persons. Joseph also appears as advocate at the Industrial Tribunal advising clients on the creation of employment procedures.
Working alongside Joseph is Finbar O’Brien, he has also advised Craigavon Borough Council on employment issues and has liaised with the Labour Relations Agency and Staff Commission.
The firm has obtained, implemented and assisted in specialist advice on issues involving travellers, minority languages, street names, disability discrimination, sexual discrimination, religious and racial discrimination.
